Madhubani Paintings #1

Hello to everyone. Here I am sharing some of my old Madhubani paintings. Madhubani Painting or Mithila Painting is an Indian folkart.

The picture below is of Shakti, or MaaDurga, a Hindu goddess of power. As Madhubani Painting is known for its intricacy, and fine lines to create a shaded effect, I use it in my work to maintain the authenticity.

This painting below is Ardhanarishvara, which is depicted as half male and half female. To be precise, it is a composite androgynous of Hindu Lord Shiva and his wife Parvati.
